Bakki Shower:
Bakki shower filter are sometimes known as Trickle Filter. It is a modular trickle filter that will be easy to install. Bakki shower filters mimic nature’s method of filtering out pollutants and waste from your pond. They are designed to work in conjunction with a biological filter. The main function of a Bakki shower filter is to increase dissolved oxygen levels in the water.
By creating a cascade of water falling through the media, the water absorbs large amounts of oxygen. This type of filter is very effective at removing nitrates and phosphates from the water. Most importantly, they help reduce ammonia levels. Ammonia is toxic to fish and plants. When the water passes through the media, it splits into hydrogen and hydroxide ions.
Hydrogen combines with oxygen to create water molecules. The hydroxide ion combines with nitrogen to produce ammonium. Water molecules are released into the air and the nitrogen is converted into harmless nitrate. This results in lower ammonia levels in the water.
